Bangka Tengah — BPS Statistics Bangka Tengah Regency held an outreach and launch event for the 2026 “Desa Cinta Statistik” (Desa Cantik) program on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. This event marked the first step in implementing the Desa Cantik program, which aims to improve statistical literacy and encourage the use of data at the village level.
The outreach event was attended by the Head of the Social Affairs, Community Empowerment, and Village Development Agency (Dinsos PMD), the Koba District Head, as well as representatives from villages and subdistricts across Koba District. During the event, the importance of data in supporting more targeted planning and decision-making at the village level was emphasized.
As a demonstration of shared commitment, the event also included the signing of a commitment to implement the 2026 “Desa Cantik” program. The signing was conducted by the Head of Dinsos PMD, the Koba District Head, and representatives from Nibung Village, Terentang III Village, and Arung Dalam Subdistrict—designated as the pilot sites for the 2026 “Desa Cantik” program.
Through this program, the BPS Statistics Bangka Tengah Regency will provide ongoing guidance to village and subdistrict officials, covering data collection, processing, and utilization. It is hoped that villages and subdistricts will be able to produce high-quality data and utilize it as a basis for more targeted development planning.
