Abstract

In April 2022 the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung experienced inflation of 2.09 percent with a CPI of 111.91. The inflation rate for the calendar year April 2022 is 3.15 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2022 to April 2021) is 5.90 percent.
The two CPI monitoring cities in the Bangka Belitung Islands province experienced inflation, namely Pangkalpinang by 1.82 percent with a CPI of 111.06 and Tanjungpandan City by 2.58 percent with a CPI of 113.46.
This month's inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for almost all expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 2.74 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.27 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.73 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.41 percent; health group by 0.06 percent; transportation group by 5.47 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.07 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.48 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 1.48 percent. The information, communication, and financial services group was the only subgroup that experienced deflation, although it was very small. Meanwhile, the education group did not experience a change in the index.
The main contribution to inflation from the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung in April 2022 was mainly contributed by commodities such as air transportation, cooking oil, and krisi fish. Meanwhile, the restraining rate of inflation was caused by the decline in commodity prices for motorcycles, red chilies, and selar fish.
