Abstract

  • n August 2022 the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung experienced a deflation of 1.36 percent with a CPI of 112.88. The inflation rate for the calendar year August 2022 is 4.04 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (August 2022 versus August 2021) is 6.38 percent
  • The two CPI monitoring cities in the Bangka Belitung Islands province also experienced deflation, namely Pangkalpinang by 1.20 percent with a CPI of 111.52 and Tanjungpandan City by 1.65 percent with a CPI of 115.34.
  • This month's deflation occurred due to a 2.74 percent decline in the index in 6 expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.10 percent; health group by 0.02 percent; transportation group by 3.49 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.13 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.02 percent.
