Bangka Tengah, April 30, 2025 – The Bangka Tengah Regency Government held a rice paddy planting ceremony in Namang Village as a strategic step in improving food security and self-sufficiency in Namang Village.
BPS-Statistics Bangka Tengah Regency participated in this activity with various parties, such as the Regent of Bangka Tengah, Bangka Tengah Police Chief, Bangka Belitung Law Office, Bangka Belitung BSIP, Bangka Tengah Agriculture Office, Dandim 0413 Bangka, Bangka Tengah Social and Community Development Office, Bank Indonesia, Bank Sumsel-Babel Koba, PT Telkom Bangka Belitung, and a number of other regional and village organizations.
The Regent of Bangka Tengah, Algafry Rahman, said that this joint planting activity is one of the concrete efforts to encourage food self-sufficiency, which is in line with President Prabowo's 6th Asta Cita: building from the village and from below for economic equality and poverty eradication.
He also emphasized that Namang Village is one of the villages with unique agricultural products, namely brown rice, which has great potential to be further developed to support regional food security.
Through this activity, the local government hopes to strengthen cross-sectoral cooperation in supporting sustainable food availability, while encouraging the active role of the community in maintaining and managing local agricultural potential.
