Abstract

The economy of the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the first quarter of 2024 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp25.17 trillion and GRDP at constant prices (ADHK) 2010 reached Rp14.48 trillion.
The economy of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the first quarter of 2024 against the first quarter of 2023 (y-on-y) grew by 1.01 percent, slowing down compared to the achievement of the first quarter of 2023 which grew by 4.40 percent. In terms of production, most business fields grew positively where the highest growth occurred in the Information and Communication business field by 17.50 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure component which grew by 17.31 percent.
The economy of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the first quarter of 2024 against the previous quarter (q-to-q) contracted by 7.24 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Financial and Insurance Services business field by 6.14 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure component by 3.66 percent.
The economy of Sumatera Island in the first quarter of 2024 grew by 4.24 percent against the first quarter of 2023 (y-on-y). The total ADHB GRDP of Sumatera Island in the first quarter of 2024 reached Rp1,154.87 trillion or around 21.86 percent of the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the total ADHK GRDP of Sumatera Island in the first quarter of 2024 reached IDR 654.80 trillion. The GRDP of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the first quarter of 2024 contributed 2.18 percent to the GRDP of Sumatera Island and 0.48 percent to the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia.
