Abstract

The economy of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in 2024 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached IDR 107.50 trillion and GRDP at constant prices (ADHK) 2010 reached IDR 60.80 trillion. Meanwhile, the GRDP per capita of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in 2024 reached IDR 70.19 million.
The economy of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in 2024 grew by 0.77 percent, slowing down compared to 2023 which grew by 4.38 percent. In terms of production, the largest source of growth came from the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries industry. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the largest source of growth came from the Household Consumption Expenditure component.
The economy of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the fourth quarter of 2024 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2023 (y-on-y) grew by 0.94 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Education Services industry which grew by 9.98 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the NPISH Consumption Expenditure component which grew by 6.42 percent.
The economy of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the fourth quarter of 2024 when compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 3.48 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair industry which grew by 8.02 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure component which grew by 27.82 percent.
The economy of Sumatra Island in the fourth quarter of 2024 grew y-on-y by 4.60 percent, slightly increasing when compared to the achievement in the fourth quarter of 2023 which grew by 4.59 percent. The total GRDP of current prices of Sumatra Island in the fourth quarter of 2024 reached IDR1,259.18 trillion or around 22.22 percent of the total GRDP of 38 provinces in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the total GRDP of constant prices of Sumatra Island in the fourth quarter of 2024 reached IDR695.81 trillion. The GRDP of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in the fourth quarter of 2024 contributed 2.24 percent to the GRDP of Sumatra Island and 0.50 percent to the total GRDP of 38 provinces in Indonesia.
