Abstract

In June 2023 there was Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation of 3.23 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 119.72. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Ambon at 6.10 percent with a CPI of 118.64 and the lowest was in Gunungsitoli at 1.01 percent with a CPI of 114.79.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.63 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.29 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.70 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 1.68 percent; the health group by 2.42 percent; transportation group of 13.64 percent; education group by 4.78 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 2.81 percent; as well as the personal care and other services group of 4.52 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.70 percent and the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.24 percent.
The Month to Month (m-to-m) deflation rate was 0.03 percent and the Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 3.62 percent.
The y-on-y inflation rate for the Energy component was 9.88 percent and the y-on-y inflation for the Foodstuffs component was 0.19 percent.
