Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in September 2019 was 36,098. This number increased by 3.22 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month of 34,972 people. The number of domestic guests increased by 4.36 percent, while the number of foreign guests fell 47.79 percent.
Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star classification hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in September 2019 reached an average of 32.76 percent, down 1.37 points compared to the August 2014 TPK recorded at 34.13 percent.
The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in September 2019 was in Central Bangka Regency at 42.66 percent, followed by Regencies in P. Belitung (35.10 percent), Pangkal Pinang City (32.14 percent), and Bangka Regency (12, 83 percent).
In September 2019, the average overall total length of stay of guests at star classification hotels was 1.70 days, a decrease of 0.07 days compared to the previous month. During September 2019, the average length of stay of foreign guests (3.08 days) was 1.40 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.68 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in September 2019 was 15.22 thousand people, down by 6.18 percent compared to August 2019 which reached 16.22 thousand people. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-September 2018), the number of departing passengers rose by 39.25 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in September 2019 was recorded at 15.55 thousand people. The number is down by 2.64 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-September 2018), the flow of passengers who came increased by 23.72 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in September 2019 was 546.57 thousand tons, an increase of 2.70 percent when compared to August 2019 which reached 532.18 thousand tons. The volume of goods unloaded during September 2019 was 215.08 thousand tons, down by 0.64 percent compared to the previous month which reached 216.48 thousand tons.
The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in September 2019 was 90.27 thousand, down 6.28 percent compared to the previous month.
The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in September 2019 was 93.97 thousand people, down by 3.32 percent compared with the previous month.
