Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2019 was 45,711. This number decreased by 3.55 compared to the previous month's number of 47,395 people. The number of foreign guests rose 5.54 percent, while the number of domestic guests dropped 3.78 percent.

Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star classification hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2019 reached an average of 39.08 percent, down 5.98 points compared to the ROR for November 2019 which was recorded at 45.06 percent.

The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in December 2019 was in Belitung Island at 45.01 percent, followed by Central Bangka Regency (44.62 percent), Pangkal Pinang City (33.42 percent), and Bangka Regency (22.26 percent ).

In December 2019, the average overall total length of stay of guests at star classification hotels was 1.66 days, a decrease of 0.09 days compared to the previous month. During December 2019, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.91 days) was 1.28 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.63 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2019 was 16.63 thousand people, an increase of 19.03 percent compared to November 2019. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-December 2018), the number of passengers departing rose by 35.62 percent.

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2019 was 14.53 thousand people. The number increased by 20.61 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-December 2018), the flow of passengers arriving increased by 20.86 percent.

The volume of goods loaded at the port in December 2019 was 809.39 thousand tons, an increase of 4.09 percent compared to November 2019 which reached 777.55 thousand tons.

The volume of goods unloaded during December 2019 was 247.35 thousand tons, an increase of 11.71 percent compared to the previous month which reached 221.42 thousand tons.

The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in December 2019 was 109.86 thousand, an increase of 5.02 percent compared to the previous month.

The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in December 2019 was 113.19 thousand people, an increase of 2.62 percent compared to the previous month.
