Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is a set of economic data that can be used to evaluate the economic development performance of a region (province or district/city) in a certain period of time. This data can also be used for other purposes and purposes, such as as a basis for developing economic models in order to formulate policies, accelerating the velocity of money (velocity of money), financial deepening (finacial deepening), physical investment development (ICOR), export and import studies, and so on. The calculation of GRDP is carried out through three approaches, namely: the production/supply approach (GRDP by business/industry), the final expenditure/demand approach (GRDP by expenditure/expenditure), and the income approach (GRDP by income/income).
This publication specifically discusses GRDP with a final expenditure/demand approach. This approach is broken down into several components, namely: Household Consumption Expenditure, Consumption Expenditure for Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households, Government Consumption Expenditure, Investment (Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Changes in Inventory), and Net Exports of Goods and Services. GRDP data in this publication uses the base year 2010 and has implemented the 2008 System of National Accounts concept according to the recommendations of the United Nations.
