Abstract

In June 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province of 1.08 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.95. The highest y-on-y inflation in the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 1.78 percent with a CPI of 104.90. Meanwhile, the lowest y-on-y inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 0.05 percent with a CPI of 104.76.

The y-on-y inflation in the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.32 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.56 percent; health group by 3.63 percent; transportation group by 1.94 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.93 percent; education group by 1.52 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.70 percent; and personal care and other services group by 1.17 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in index or experienced deflation, namely: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.25 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.68 percent; and information, communication, and financial services group by 0.20 percent.

The Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.31 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.46 percent.
