Abstract

In April 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province was 1.93 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.60. The highest y-on-y inflation in the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province occurred in Tanjung Pandan by 3.00 percent with a CPI of 106.50 while the lowest y-on-y inflation occurred in East Belitung Regency by 0.78 percent with a CPI of 104.11.

Y-on-y inflation in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province occurred due to price increases as indicated by the increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.00 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.85 percent; health group by 3.75 percent; transportation group by 1.90 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.96 percent; education group by 1.76 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 1.53 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.56 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index or experienced deflation, namely: housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 0.54 percent; equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance groups by 0.74 percent; and information, communication and financial services groups by 0.18 percent.
Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province experienced month to month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.54 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.09 percent.
