Inter-island sea transportation passengers in May 2023; departing: 26.62 thousand people, arriving: 56.34 thousand people

Abstract

The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers departing from Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2023 was recorded at 26.62 thousand people, down 60.52 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-May 2022), the flow of departing passengers increased by 13.80 percent.
The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2023 was recorded at 56.34 thousand people. This number decreased by 7.27 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-May 2022), the flow of passengers who came experienced an increase of 18.37 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in May 2023 was 802.05 thousand tons, an increase of 5.01 percent when compared to the previous month which amounted to 763.77 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during May 2023 was 590.06 thousand tons, an increase of 8.27 percent compared to the previous month of 544.97 thousand tons.
The number of air transportation passengers departing from Bangka Belitung Islands in May 2023 was recorded at 87.50 thousand people, a decrease of 1.14 percent compared to the previous month.
The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands by using air transportation in May 2023 was recorded at 93.14 thousand people, an increase of 8.04 percent compared to the previous month.

Passengers of inter-island sea transportation in December 2024; departed: 44.22 thousand people, arrived: 38.95 thousand people. Passengers of air transportation in December 2024; departed: 77.81 thousand people, arrived: 79.46 thousand people. Sea transportation loading and unloading activities in December 2024; unloaded: 123.78 thousand tons, loaded: 233.51 thousand tons.
