Abstract

  • In April 2023, the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung experienced year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 3.31 percent with a CPI of 115.61. The monthly inflation rate or month to month (m-to-m) is 0.44 percent and the calendar year inflation rate or year to date (y-to-d) is also 1.12 percent.
  • Y-on-y inflation in Pangkalpinang City was 2.78 percent and m-to-m inflation was 0.58 percent, with a CPI of 114.15. Y-on-y inflation in Tanjungpandan City was 4.22 percent and m-to-m inflation was 0.19 percent, with a CPI of 118.25.
  • Inflation y-on-y Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung this month occurred due to an increase in index in almost all expenditure groups, namely; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.18 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.32 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.25 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 1.29 percent; the health group by 1.45 percent; transportation group by 11.72 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 2.37 percent; the education group by 1.06 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 2.68 percent; as well as the personal care and other services group of 3.82 percent. Meanwhile, the group that experienced a decline in index was only the information, communication and financial services group by 0.70 percent.
  • The share of y-on-y inflation of the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung was mainly contributed by the commodities of gasoline, rice and air transportation. Meanwhile, the share of m-to-m inflation was mainly due to the commodities of air transportation, squid and rice.
