In February 2015 Pangkalpinang deflation of 0.89 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 118.32 after inflation in January 2014, amounting to 0.95 percent of the CPI 119.38.
Deflation occurs due to the deterioration in the price indicated by the decline in the index in three groups namely foodstuffs spending by 2.38 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco by 0.05 percent; as well as transport, communications, and financial services 2.40 percent. While four groups namely expenditure inflation housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel 0.29 percent; clothing group by 0.47 percent; health group 0.21 percent; as well as education, recreation, and sport 0.24 percent.
Calendar year inflation rate in February 2015 was 0.05 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (February 2015 to February 2014) amounted to 5.17 percent.
The core component in February 2015 to contribute to inflation by 0.32 percent and the volatile components of inflation of 1.48 percent. While the components of the price set by the government to contribute to a deflation of 0.85 percent.
